Director, skateboarder and comedian Carter Howard is getting ready to release a new comedic short film that he wrote, directed, and starred in.
The project has been in the works over the past few months and brings together a lineup that includes pro skateboarders Antwuan Dixon, Mark Appleyard, and Steve Caballero.
Howard shared that he is excited to finally get the project out after spending time building it from the ground up. The film leans into comedy while staying rooted in skateboarding culture, bringing together different generations of skaters in one project.
Alongside the film release, Howard is also planning a world record attempt tied to a world first challenge.
As part of the promotion, he will be setting off to skateboard around the world by circumnavigating the globe. The plan starts in San Francisco, and from there he will continue traveling on his board and seeing where the route leads.
He mentioned that the trip is part of the overall rollout for the film and something he has been preparing for while finishing post production. The idea connects the film release with a real time journey that will unfold as he travels.
