Street League Skateboarding has been tied into conversations around Drake’s upcoming album Ice Man, and skaters have been connecting the dots in their own way while the rollout keeps unfolding.

Drake recently sparked more talk after posting a cryptic Instagram Story featuring a screenshot that said “Its in” along with an image that looked like something frozen inside ice.

It was enough to get his fans reading into it as a signal that Ice Man might already be submitted and getting closer to release.

Nothing official has been confirmed though, and there is still no set release date announced for the album.

At the same time, the skate side of the internet has been bringing back an old moment involving Shrimpdaddy, whose classic switch backside tailslide clip turned into one of those long lasting skate memes.

Shrimpdaddy built the whole thing in a way that made it look like Drake himself did the switch backside tailslide, cutting together timing and edits that made it feel oddly real and funny at the same time.

That edit became one of those clips people kept referencing whenever skate memes came up.

SLS being mentioned in the same space comes from how skate media and fans tend to circulate these references around big names like Drake when new music is on the way.

It is not a formal collaboration or campaign, but more of the skate community pulling older meme moments back into the spotlight while Drake’s album talk builds again.

There has also been other activity around Ice Man that fans have been picking apart.

Drake has been posting small hints on Instagram, including a photo showing frosted courtside seats at Toronto’s Scotiabank Arena, which many took as another subtle teaser. Alongside that, discussion around possible livestreams or additional drops has been floating around, though nothing has been confirmed.

Drake’s most recent solo studio album was For All the Dogs in 2023, followed by the deluxe Scary Hours Edition. He also released a collaborative project with PARTYNEXTDOOR titled $ome $exy $ongs 4 U in 2025, which came after a heavily publicized period in hip hop discussions.

Until then, Ice Man remains in the teaser phase, while skaters continue bringing back the Shrimpdaddy switch backside tailslide meme as part of the broader conversation around Drake’s next release.
