OG professional skateboarder Fred Gall just went through something straight out of a nightmare and somehow walked away from it.
The Metal Skateboards pro skater has always been known as one of those dudes who never really stopped grinding.
He has kept it real for years, balancing street skating with a regular day job, putting in hours most people would not even consider.
That kind of work ethic helped land him a cover on Thrasher Magazine and earned him respect from people who know what it takes to last in skating without selling out.

Recently, he had a close call that could have gone way worse.
Fred shared that he had pulled over to check his tire with his hazard lights on. It sounded like a normal stop on the side of the road.
As he stood up and opened the back door, a Jeep came out of nowhere, sideswiped him, and ran him over. The tires actually rolled over his body before the driver took off.
Let that sink in for a second.
The wildest part is that he says he does not have any broken bones. He is still waiting on a CT scan to make sure nothing internal is going on, but somehow he avoided the kind of injuries most people would expect from getting run over.
People who have followed Fred for years are not even surprised that he is still standing. This is someone who built a name skating rough spots, taking hits, and getting back up again.
Still, this is on a completely different level from slams at a spot.
A hit and run like this leaves more questions than answers. There is no update yet on the driver, but the focus right now is on Fred getting checked out and making sure he is actually okay beyond what he can feel.
It sounds like he dodged something that could have ended very differently. Getting run over and walking away without broken bones is hard to even wrap your head around.
Everyone is waiting to hear what the scans say, but you already know that Fred is still here, and that alone is something people are not taking lightly.
