Skateboarding and faith are coming together in a way that is inspiring both the skating community and those seeking meaningful reflection.
Many professional skateboarders are turning to God and focusing on living in accordance with Jesus Christ’s teachings.
This Holy Week, pro skater and pastor Brian Sumner is inviting skaters and their families to join in celebrating the events of Palm Sunday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.
Services are open to everyone and provide a chance for fellowship, worship, and reflection on Christ’s life, death, and resurrection.
Sumner Posted:
"Join us, to Celebrate Holy Week, as Christ Lived, Died, & Rose again, for our Sins.
Palm Sunday - 10am
Good Friday Celebration with both English & Brazilian Churches - 7pm
Easter Sunday Service - 10am
See you here with friends & family.
6400 Westminster Blvd"
All skateboarders are welcome, and those interested in connecting with fellow pro skaters can join Dave Jonsson on Pros Being Bros every Monday at 8:30 a.m. PST.
The group gathers for Bible study and discussion, sharing experiences of faith within the professional skateboarding world.

Faith was frowned upon in skateboarding culture as 666 Magazine, demonic brands, and even Satanic skate teams dominated the streets.
But skate legends like Duane Peters have embraced God, Steve Caballero has spoken openly about his beliefs, Lance Mountain continues to live by the teachings of Christ, and Jamie Thomas has shared his Holy Cross pro deck from Zero as a symbol of faith.
Even skaters who have faced difficult circumstances are turning to God.
Antwuan Dixon, Brian Wenning, and Ragdoll, all of whom have spent time in prison, are now following Christ and incorporating faith into their daily lives and skating.
Holy Week offers skateboarders a unique opportunity to reflect, connect, and grow spiritually.
Whether hitting the streets or attending services, it is a time for community, worship, and embracing the teachings of Jesus Christ while celebrating the spirit of the week.
