Competitive contest skateboarder Julian Agliardi isn’t one to overthink gear, but when it comes to trucks, he’s got one clear favorite - Independent.
In a recent feature for Indy’s "My Indys" series, Julian shared why he’s been riding nothing but 139 Stage XI Hollows and how they’ve earned his full trust over time.
“The best part of Indy is they last forever,” he says. “It just locks in automatically and it feels amazing.”
That “lock-in” feeling is something a lot of skaters talk about, but for Julian, it’s not just about feel. It’s about trust.
He recalled a moment that really sealed the deal: "I remember I was having an issue riding some other trucks. It happened a couple of times where I would hit a big rail and right as I landed, the trucks would just explode."
After that, he knew he needed something more solid under his feet.
Since switching to Indys, Julian hasn’t looked back. He’s been grinding them down to the axle, session after session, with the same pair still holding strong.
That kind of durability is a big deal when you’re skating every day and putting your setup through real wear.
