AEW Superstar Darby Allin isn't exactly known for playing it safe and now he's gone even further than anyone could have imagined, literally.
Allin reached the summit of Mount Everest and brought a skateboard with him. Not for a photo. Not for fun. For a kickflip.
Yes, he really did it. On the icy, wind-whipped peak of the highest mountain on Earth, Allin stood with a board under his feet and pulled off one of the most unreal skateboarding moments ever captured. At 29,032 feet above sea level, he landed the highest kickflip in history.
The pro wrestler climbed the actual mountain with his team, dealt with brutal altitude, freezing temperatures, and thin air - then got his board out and made it happen. No ramps. No special effects. Just gnar commitment and a willingness to do something no one else had done before.
Skateboarding has seen its share of wild tricks and standout moments, but landing a clean kickflip where even breathing is a struggle takes things to another level.
For Allin, this wasn’t about breaking records for the sake of it. He’s always done things his own way, whether in the wrestling ring or on the streets with his board. This just happened to be on a different kind of street - one made of ice and rock, at the edge of the sky.
No one else has landed a skate trick that high up. Not ever. And it’s safe to say no one else has even thought of trying.
This won’t be forgotten anytime soon. It’s not every day someone climbs Everest with a skateboard and actually uses it.
