Deer Man of Darkwoods and his underground black metal skateboarding crew Barrier Kult has officially joined forces with Lord Williams and DGK.
BA. KU. have always had a strong connection to the rough edges of concrete barriers, so partnering up with Lord Williams and DGK feels totally right.
The drop is coming to core skate shops soon, so keep your eyes peeled.
This one’s for anyone who lives and breathes the streets, the barriers, and the purest forms of skateboarding.

"We are longtime fans of the core ledge skateboarder, taking much of their influence directly to the concrete barrier lip. For the Barrier Kult, DGK has always been the most crucial representation of a ledge skating and street dedicated company, so it’s an honor to be able to collaborate with them. Contact your local skate shop to get your hands on our kultest collaboration yet

DGK also jumped in with a post:
"On the surface, the Barrier Kult looks like it would be related closely to a more bowl and transition based ‘hesh’ style with its parallels to pool shallow ends, music tastes and general aesthetics. In actuality, various writings about the Barrier Kult have discussed how they are much closer to a ledge skating movement due to their obsession for tricks on the sharp square concrete edge of Jersey barriers. Other than moves like the ‘boneless one’ and ‘layback grind’, the tricks generally chased by the Barrier Kult parallel those of ledge skaters. In simple terms, the only difference between Jersey barrier skating and ledge skating is the manner of getting to the concrete edge itself - abrupt transition riding or an ollie. Therefore, it is no surprise that the originators of the Barrier Kult are longtime fans of core ledge skateboarders, taking much of their influence directly to the concrete barrier lip.
For the Barrier Kult, DGK has always been the most crucial representation of a ledge skating and street dedicated company, so it’s an honor to be able to collaborate with them.
