The first-ever Brazilian transgender professional skateboarder Luiza Marchiori is facing a lot of backlash after being accused of abuse.
Marchiori fires back and has hired criminal lawyer Alessandra Jirardi to address crimes of slander, defamation, and especially transphobic racial slander.
On Instagram, Marchiori posted a video defending herself and calling out the accusations as a crime.
She wrote:
"Now with the Judiciary. Racial offense and transphobia are crimes! They're not going to take away my rights as a woman and my rights back and forth! People who are posting, commenting, or sharing, delete it because it gives you time, otherwise everyone will enter the lawsuit! I'm not guilty of these false accusations. There is no existence of any evidence capable of indicting me, and the accuser must prove, and if not, they will be held accountable for crimes of slander, defamation, and especially transphobic racial slander. This is unacceptable, and we want JUSTICE!!!!"
As we previously reported, Marchiori allegedly abused women, including underage girls, which a known skateboarder in Brazil, Garcia Rodrigues, called out. The trans woman responded with supportive evidence.
Now, Marchiori has threatened everyone who will hate on her as trans with transphobic hate crimes.
She's speaking out against the allegations, saying they're totally false. Her lawyer, Jirardi, is backing her up, claiming there's not enough evidence to support the accusations.
The skateboarding community is split on the issue, with some supporting her and others demanding accountability.
The case is drawing attention to the challenges faced by transgender individuals in the legal system. Marchiori maintains her innocence and urges supporters to stop spreading what she sees as defamatory content.
