Legendary freestyle skateboarder and iconic World Industries business owner, Steve Rocco, left the skateboarding industry for two decades after selling the company in 2002.
However, he came back after Sidewalk Distribution asked for Rocco's help to invigorate the new landscape of the skate scene.
Ian Michna's Jenkem skate blog has finally secured an interview with the former World head honcho after years of back and forth.
Rocco admitted he didn't like how "The Man Who Souled the World" portrayed him in the documentary, which led him to avoid interviews for years.
Even YouTube skater Chris Roberts' The Nine Club couldn't secure an interview with what they call the "Evil Genius."
Rocco rejected the "Evil Genius" label and stated that people's perception of him did not reflect who he truly was. This is why he agreed to an exclusive interview with Jenkem, trusting Michna to offer him the opportunity to rebuild his reputation and clean his name.
