As we previously reported, Powell-Peralta's Andy Anderson found himself in a situation when he discovered that Ricky Glaser had already executed the trick he had proudly deemed as the "longest darkslide."
The revelation prompted Anderson to take to social media, explaining the importance of seeking permission and acknowledging prior accomplishments in the skateboarding community.
The YouTube star took the opportunity to provide more insights about the situatiuon and gave the skate kids valuable information on what happened.
Anderson was saving the longest darkslide in his upcoming video part but did not use the clip since Braille Skateboarding rider has already done it in the same spot.
Since Glaser had already performed the darkslide. Realizing the overlap, Anderson reached out to him and asked if he could still feature the trick.
In the spirit of camaraderie, Glaser granted permission, allowing Anderson to proceed with including the long darkslide.
It was probably Anderson's ender, but it ended up in an Instagram post since he thought there was no longer value due to its ABD status.
Then, Anderson shared a lesson to all skateboarders. He emphasized the importance of communication and seeking permission before posting clips online, mainly when performing tricks already executed on specific spots.
Did Glaser really ruin Anderson's video part, as it was intended to be withheld until a later date? However, it became necessary to release it prematurely since skaters already knew that the longest darkslide was already an ABD and longer.
