How to get sponsored as a skateboarder
YouTube: Santa Cruz Skateboards

Santa Cruz Skateboards' brand manager Andrew Cannon and former professional skateboarder, explains how someone can become a sponsored skateboarder via their official YouTube channel.

As a skate rat, dreaming of becoming a professional skateboarder someday can be a dream if you never take action. Hence, if you have what it takes to become the best in the field and have the guts to improve yourself by working hard, then you have a chance.

Becoming a sponsored skateboarder is not about getting products. But, it's also a career path where you will be an excellent example to the youth - providing exceptional video parts and helping your sponsors receive brand awareness.

After accomplishing the amateur route, you will have to keep working until you get a promotion as a pro skater in the business. However, it won't stop there.

Some pro skaters are regular people with typical day jobs. Still, if you want to pursue a corporate sponsorship deal, you must always join corporate skateboarding contests and the Olympics to represent your country.

Santa Cruz wrote. "We speak with SC Brand Manager Andrew Cannon, SC Team Manager Eric Palozzolo, and SC Video Manager Joe Perrin to see what it takes to get SPONSORED! Follow these steps, and you could become the freshest face in the van!"

Stream the video below, and make sure to follow the steps to become a sponsored skateboarder. Enjoy!
