Powell Peralta's 100% fewer flat spots skateboard wheels, Bones Wheels, released their beloved team rider Zane Timpson's final skate edit via their official YouTube channel.
Skateboarding legend Tony Hawk joined Timpson in a sesh providing startling maneuvers in the pool.
Both professional skateboarders were in brilliant form, despite the fact that they never skated together and had never done the "Bert" trick before.
"In October 2020 we had an idea to recreate the January 1981 Thrasher cover which was an illustration of what we believe to be a “Bert”. If you’re not familiar with a Bert, it’s essentially a frontside grind but you’re completely laid back in the transition with your lead hand holding you off the wall." Jared Lucas said.
He added. "Being that this was going to be for the Thrasher 40th anniversary, we thought, who better to recreate this moment other than Tony Hawk? Of course Tony was up for the challenge but he had admittedly had never done a Bert."
"In efforts to keep the energy of the session high, I also invited Zane Timpson. Before this day, Zane and Tony had never had an intimate session together and right away, they hit it off."
"With both of them having so much genuine love and passion for skateboarding, the day was full of high fives, hugs, and positivity. he continued. "It is the day I will never forget in my life. Thank you for all the memories, Zane. We will love you forever."
