Corey Duffel Finding Healing & Hope Through Stem Cell Therapy in Mexico

Pro skateboarder Corey Duffel has always been open about his life on and off the board.

The Adored Skateboards boss has been eating slams for years, never holding back, and building his name on style, honesty, and straight-up dedication to skating.

Core heads have seen him grind through injuries, still finding ways to ride, film, and connect with people who live and breathe the same culture. But this year hit different.

In a recent update, Duffman opened up about how bad the pain in his body has gotten. Skating like he wants isn’t even close to possible anymore. His knee, which’s been a problem for over a decade, has left him barely moving the way he used to.

It’s not just the body either. The pain has been heavy on his mind and draining for everyone around him. Even with all his determination, his body’s been screaming that it’s time to focus on healing first.

Instead of staying quiet, Duffman’s choosing to keep it real. He’s going to blog about his recovery over the next year, showing the grind, the setbacks, and the small wins along the way.

He ain’t sugarcoating anything. The struggle’s real, but he’s holding onto hope that better days are coming.

On September 22, Corey landed in Tijuana to get treated at a stem cell clinic he’s been scoping out for years. After watching vids, reading reports, and thinking about it for a long time, he finally pulled the trigger.

The goal is simple: move, stand, and live without that constant knee pain. There are about 30 people at the clinic this week chasing the same kind of relief, and Corey’s ready to grind through it with them.

True to form, Duffman’s keeping everyone in the loop. He’s sharing his recovery, his meals, his records, and the good times that make up daily life. Even in the middle of this grind, he’s staying real, grateful, and honest. He gave a shoutout to his friends, the clinic staff, and everyone holding him up during this rough patch.

“Viva Mexico,” he wrote, finally feeling like he’s taking action on something he’s been thinking about for years.

This ain’t just a medical trip. It’s a chance to get his body right, regain strength, and hopefully get back to skating like he actually feels alive again.

"Duffman slams on a lot of things. Oh yeah!
For real. I eat shit and have for a long time. Always said I’d keep skating until it hurts too much or that I can’t do it how I want to. This last year has it the point where my mind doesn’t let me skate because my body hurts really bad and it doesn’t let me use my lil cheat codes and hacks to push it any more. I think it was over a decade ago that I was already fucked but have kept trying and trying. Point is I’m hurt bad and mentally it has been draining on myself and all around me. Very exhausting on my loved ones and friends.
I’m gonna blog my healing and story over the next year or whatever. But here today 9/22/2025 I’m in Tijuana getting some stuff done with @cpistemcells over the next week. I’ve been watching videos, reading reports and dreaming of visiting a place like this over the past few years. Finally have pulled the trigger and got down here and am having them help me out. The goal is to get back to moving and standing without being in non stop high levels of pain in my left knee.
You know me and I love to post my recoveries, food, skating, records and good times. I am honest and I share my stories and life on here.
This is to let yall know I made it to the clinic in Mexico and will be here through out the week
Viva Mexico !!! Thank you, Danny, @scottyotm , @cpistemcells all the employees for being awesome. There are like 30 of us here getting treated and I know we are all excited to be here in your care !"
