All of us don't know until when is the enhanced community quarantine will last. In an effort to lower the risk of transmission of the coronavirus, it's a must to implement enhanced community quarantine to flatten the curve for our life go back to normal again.

It's no mystery that we are living history right now with a time of intense difficulty that will be talked about for years to come, and perhaps no one is feeling it more than the small businesses.

Many of us seek to avoid crowds and government mandates are put in place, many small businesses are scrambling to survive.

So, as skateboarders, what are some ways we can support the local businesses, both in our neighborhood and online during this tough time?

Here are the ideas to consider:

Buy Food From Locally-owned Restaurants - Some are operating via delivery or drive thru so you can purchase online using an app or if you have a car you can purchase to go, you can also buy an extra for later since some small businesses are offering frozen options now. The big chains can survive this pandemic, but the smaller ones or independent restaurants might not. Check out their social media pages to see if they are still open.

Rate 5-star Reviews - Give your favorite small businesses great reviews on Facebook, Yelp, Google or anywhere else where consumers hang out. Reviews are a good deciding factor for all potential customers when they are choosing where to go, and it will boost your favorite store’s credibility for more customers.

Buy Skate products Online at Small Independently-owned Skate Shops - Just because we are stuck inside our homes that doesn’t mean we can’t go shopping and skate. Be creative and skate inside your house just like what the pros are doing. You can load up the virtual cart with a new skateboard set up to keep yourself entertained during this time and for the future after this coronavirus is over. Speaking of acts of shopping online, Alila Online Skateshop is one of the best and has the affordable price for your skate shopping needs so consider it and it may help their business survive.

Like and Share - Every small businesses have social media now and you can support them by reacting and sharing their posts. A lot of people are underestimating the power of social media and they think that it's only for memes and etc. What they don't know is that the engagements on a content really go a long way especially with brand awareness. Being inside your house means increased in phone or computer time, so you might as well leave a nice comment and tag your friends. Some small businesses are offering special points for referrals so it's a win-win situation for both parties.

Don't Forget to Tip Generously - For this you can sincerely thank them for the service they have provided. You may not be able to save the entire world from the epidemic, but you gave what you can to help. A lot of workers survive of off tips and some are facing lay-offs or no work no pay policy so being generous feels really good so please do it and tip them.
