Legendary Norwegian black metal frontman Abbath revealed the devastating news that his mother had passed away while he was on tour in Germany.

The news came to light through a somber social media post, where Abbath expressed his shock and sorrow at the unexpected loss.

"This morning, while we arrived in Germany, I got the call my mom passed away. It was very sudden," the musician shared, offering a glimpse into the emotional turmoil he was experiencing amidst the demanding schedule of a concert tour.

Abbath's heartfelt message continued, painting a poignant picture of his mom as one of the loveliest and most kind individuals one could ever meet.

He described her as a fighter, a true warrior, implying a strength and resilience that undoubtedly left a lasting impression on him.
