In 1993, Josh Friedberg and Steve Douglas created a skateboarding video series called 411 Video Magazine (411VM).
Prior to 411, professional skateboarders' skate videos were showcased in major video releases, which were sometimes years apart.
Friedberg and Douglas changed that by releasing four issues per year, giving skateboarders access to videos of pro skateboarders more frequently than ever before.
411VM released its last issue, issue 67, in 2005 after producing 67 issues. Lance Mountain hosted the first 50 issues, and afterward, each issue was hosted by a special guest.
The video magazine was originally produced on VHS tapes and later transitioned to DVD.
Each issue had various segments, including Openers, Chaos, Transitions, Switchstance, Wheels of Fortune, Pro Files, Grapevine, Commercial Break, Road Trip, Day in the Life, Industry, Shop Industry, and Metrospective.
With the reunion, skaters were stoked to see the memorabilia and hear the panels discuss the history of the golden era of skateboarding.
It was a truly memorable event celebrating the rich heritage and underground culture, leaving a lasting impression on all who attended.
Even though you're just watching on your screen, your nostalgia goes back to your teenage skating days and beyond.
