Norwegian black metal veterans TSJUDER has just released a new song titled "Gods of Black Blood," and it's as hellish as it sounds. The track is the first taste of the band's upcoming album "Helvegr", which will release on June 23, 2023, via Season of Mist.
The band has consistently delivered some of the most ferocious and uncompromising black metal since their debut album, "Kill for Satan," in 2000. Breakneck speed, razor-sharp riffs, and harsh, snarling vocals characterize their style.
"Gods of Black Blood" perfectly exemplifies what TSJUDER does best. The song opens with a blistering barrage of drums and guitars, and it doesn't let up for the entirety of its three-and-a-half-minute runtime. The riffs are relentless, and the drumming is thunderous, creating a wall of crushing and exhilarating sound.
The vocals, courtesy of Nag, are raw and aggressive, adding to the overall feeling of darkness and chaos. The lyrics are suitably bleak, invoking images of hellish landscapes and ancient, malevolent deities. It's classic TSJUDER, and fans of the band will undoubtedly be pleased with what they hear.
