The streets have been talking and skaters been waiting for this moment.

According to reports, President Trump might be dropping some serious cash soon. In an interview with One America News he said he’s thinking about sending out checks worth around two grand to Americans.

That’s right! Two thousand bucks in the pocket and a chance for skaters to finally grab that new setup they’ve been dreaming about.

Trump said he’s trying to pay down debt since people let it go crazy but also thinking about giving what he called a dividend to the people of America. “We’re thinking maybe one thousand to two thousand it’d be great” he said.

If this goes through it’s not just some boring government plan. This could mean real money for real people especially for the ones skating on busted decks and duct-taped shoes.

You know how it is. Boards crack trucks squeak bearings scream and you’re still trying to land that one trick. Two stacks could change that whole situation real quick.

As we previously reported, Tim Pool has been saying tariffs will save the skateboarding industry. Pool thinks bringing production back home will help local board makers who’ve been fighting against cheap decks from overseas.

And now with the government pulling in billions from tariffs it looks like some of that money might finally circle back to the people who actually need it.

The numbers are wild. In September the U.S. government collected more than thirty one billion in tariff money and that’s only a bit lower than the record in August.

The Treasury says they’ve already pulled in more than two hundred billion this year from tariffs alone. That’s a lot of cash sitting around while people grind through inflation and high prices.

Earlier this year Elon Musk and Trump even talked about using DOGE savings to send out five thousand dollar checks. That one never happened but the talk about checks is back again.

If it really goes down this time skaters might finally get that new board setup some fresh wheels and maybe even throw some cash at a local skate shop instead of ordering cheap gear online.

But not everything is chill. The Supreme Court is getting ready to hear arguments on whether Trump’s trade moves were even legal.

A lower court said he might’ve gone too far using emergency powers to drop new tariffs since that’s supposed to be Congress’s job.

The court let the tariffs stay for now but that could change soon.

While the government figures out who’s right, skaters are just waiting to see if this thing is for real. Everyone’s talking about what they’d do with the money.

New deck,s new shoes and maybe even fixing that beat up camera to film clips again. Local shops could see a boom and the scene might get some fresh life after years of scraping by.

For now it’s all talk but if Trump really sends those checks the skate parks are gonna be packed again.
