Legendary vert pro skater Tony Hawk recently chatted with Stephen Colbert in a fun and insightful interview that mixed laughs with a bit of skateboarding history.

One of the highlights was when Hawk shared how he spent 12 years trying to land the infamous 900. A crazy trick that involves two and a half spins in the air.

After endless falls and failures, he finally nailed it in 1999 during the X Games, solidifying his place as a skateboarding pioneer.

Of course, no conversation with Hawk is complete without mentioning his iconic video game series.

He teased fans about the upcoming remaster of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 & 4, promising it’ll bring back that classic gameplay that everyone loves, even though he couldn’t spill too many details just yet.
