Pro skater TJ Rogers pulled up at Le Conte Middle School and made the whole place light up.
He came through to kick it with the students, talk about skating, and drop some real talk about life. It wasn’t some fancy speech thing. It was just real talk from someone who’s been through it and made it out doing what he loves.
TJ said he was grateful to be invited and showed love to the people who made it happen for throwing in the gear so the kids could get blessed with some fresh stuff. The smiles said it all.
The whole thing was part of the one year anniversary of the school’s skate park. LACER Afterschool Programs said TJ came through big time for the Le Conte skate club.
He shared his story, gave out goodies, and still had time to do a demo. Everybody was hyped seeing him in person doing his thing right there in front of them.
They also showed love to The Douglas Foundation for the grant, to Ms Lee for hosting, and to all the partners who made the day come together like Eduskate, Fresh Brothers, Costco, and Bones Wheels. Principal Duran and his crew were in the mix too, helping make the day go smooth.
It wasn’t just about skating. It was about showing the kids that if you stay focused and keep your heart in what you do, good things can happen. TJ didn’t just show tricks, he showed what giving back really looks like.

"I recently visited Le Conte Middle School and had the chance to chat with the kids about skateboarding.
Thanks a bunch to @lacerafterschool, @lecontemiddleschool,
@gdelger, and @girlonthego4u for inviting me! It was an honor to be there.
And a huge thank you to @boneswheels, @sk8mafia, @techdeck
and @thrashermagazine for providing the gear to bless the kids with. It was truly a special moment, and I’m so grateful for your support.
