Fans of the band Slapshock were shocked after they have found out that vocalist Jamir Garcia has passed away at 42.
According to reports from Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD-CIDU), Garcia hanged himself at his home in Project 8, Brgy. Sangandaan, Quezon City.
Garcia, 42, was found dead by his aunt who immediately rushed him to the Metro-North Medical Center and Hospital, and unfortunately, from there he was eventually declared dead on arrival.
The band is best known for their rock tunes like “Agent Orange,” “Get Away,” “Sigaw” and “Cariño Brutal,” among many others. Garcia's death came a few months after the bassist Lee Nadela confirmed last September that Slapshock has been disbanded. With ongoing friction between him and other members of the group due to an alleged withdrawing band royalties from the shared account on a digital music platform without Basco's knowledge. Family members of the singer took to social media to request everyone to respect his memory and take down any photos related to his demise.
