Skaters and comic heads, listen up!
Skateshop Day is back and this year it’s bigger with Image Comics and Deluxe linking up for something wild.
On Saturday, February 21, the streets are getting a celebration that’s all about skating, comics, and the people who live for both.
Brett Parson, the Massachusetts skater and artist behind Grommets and a ton of Tank Girl stuff, is dropping fresh artwork for the day.
His style hits that old-school ’80s skate scene with all the chaos, fun, and attitude of that era.
For anyone who grew up skating and flipping through comics, this is pure nostalgia with a modern twist.
Deluxe is putting out the ShopKeepers deck with Parson’s art, plus custom Yeti Yonders, Ramblers, and Quantum Bearings.
Each deck comes with a limited reprint of Grommets #1 with special Skateshop Day cover art. Only 3,000 of these exist, so if you want it, you gotta grab it at Core doors.
This isn’t just about flipping boards or reading panels, it’s about finding the spots where the crew meets up, the local shops that keep things real, and the culture that’s all about community.
Skateshop Day is that moment where skating and comics collide, where friends hang, stories get shared, and collectors get their hands on something that’s straight fire.
If you’re rolling through, expect art that hits hard, decks that pop off the racks, and that feeling of being part of something everyone’s talking about.
Skateshop Day 2026 is all about showing love to the culture and making sure that it always supports the core shops.
