A teenager from the Central Coast is in the hospital after a serious skateboarding accident this morning.

The young skater wasn’t wearing a helmet and ended up with some pretty bad head injuries, leading to a critical condition.

Emergency services rushed to the scene in a popular skate spot that gets a lot of traffic. This incident has raised some alarms about helmets and safety gear for skaters.

Local authorities are urging all skateboarders and action sports fans to wear protective gear, especially helmets, to avoid head injuries.

Police are stressing the importance of safety and encouraging parents and guardians to make sure younger skaters are properly protected.

The skateboarding community is pretty worried about what happened. They recognize that while skating can be a blast, the risks involved are real and shouldn’t be taken lightly.
