You have been asked a million times, have been repeating yourself and hearing the same questions over and over: “Why are you still single?”, “Where is your girlfriend/boyfriend?”, “How come you’re not married yet?” and the most irritating questions of all time, “When are you planning to get married?” and you have to defend yourself every time or think of alibis. Annoying right?
Spend more time with family and friends
Whenever you feel lonely, the people who will be there to help and support are your friends and families. I know how hard it is to force yourself to participate in social activities but it will help you forget that being single is not that bad. Skate with your buddies, ask any of your family members if they can film you or catch up with your high school friends.
Go to a solo mission
You can learn a lot of things by skating alone, you will not be bothered thinking that someone is watching you skate, you won’t be intimidated that some skaters are better than you. So practice by yourself and focus on landing new tricks.
Binge on your favorite skate videos
Back then there are no social media or Youtube, there were only magazines and VHS. In the early 2000s VCD and DVD came out however, skateboard videos take years for it to be released so you are now very lucky to have all the skate videos for free as long as you have internet. Take advantage of all the skate footage and share it on your social media.
Meet New People
Go to other skate spots and meet new skaters! Try making new friends since skateboarders are friendly you can have a skate jam with them as long as you are respectful and if you treat them in a friendly manner then you are good.
