According to reports, a 19-year-old from Port Huron has tragically passed away from injuries he got while skitching—a term for being pulled on a skateboard by a vehicle.
On May 9, just before midnight, witnesses found the young man with severe injuries on 24th Street. He had been holding onto a car while skateboarding when he fell, hitting the pavement hard and suffering major fractures.
He was rushed to McLaren Macomb Hospital in critical condition but sadly passed away on May 11.
The driver of the vehicle has been cooperative with the police investigation.
