On a regular Tuesday afternoon at Warning Skate Shop in South Los Angeles, things got pretty scary. An armed robber held the shop owner at gunpoint while his two buddies raided the place. The whole thing was caught on the security cameras.
This all went down around 5:15 p.m. on the 8200 block of S. Central Avenue. The security footage shows the suspects pulling up to the curb in a white Nissan Altima. They walked in like they were just normal customers, but once inside, they pulled up their masks and made a beeline for the owner in the middle of the store.
One of the suspects whipped out a gun and told the owner to lay low, even snagging his wallet. Meanwhile, the other two grabbed everything they could—cash from the register, pants, shirts, and sweaters. They even tried to grab some skateboards, but those were firmly bolted to the wall, so they were out of luck on that one.
The whole thing only lasted about three minutes, with the trio making a quick getaway back to their car. It seems a street vendor walked in, catching the robbers off guard and making them scram.
For the shop owner, this wasn’t the first time dealing with such a scary situation. Just three months ago, armed suspects pointed a gun at him and robbed his store.
