Skateboarding icons Louie Barletta, Bill Weiss, Steve Douglas, and Bod Boyle have joined forces to create a new distribution company called Sidewalk Skateboard Distribution.
Barletta, Weiss, Douglas, and Boyle are ready to save skateboarding after the shake-up madness in the Dwindle Distribution camp due to multiple firings, a change of guard, pro skaters leaving, and owing people money.
The four core skaters are no strangers to the skateboarding world, with a combined experience of over 50 years in the industry. Barletta is a professional skateboarder known for his creative style and memorable video parts. At the same time, Weiss has worked in various roles, including team manager, sales representative, and founder of Madness Skateboards under Dwindle Distribution.
On the other hand, Hugh "Bod" Boyle is the president of Dwindle Distribution, and Steve Douglas is the vice president—both are former professional skateboarders. They have been working with pro skaters in the scene for many years.
The new company, Sidewalk Skateboard Distribution, aims to provide a more personal and attentive approach to skateboard distribution, focusing on building long-term relationships with skate shops and skateboarders. The company will offer a carefully curated selection of brands and products.
In a statement, Barletta expressed his excitement for the new venture, saying "Oh yes we did!! The idea of starting something new made me go back to where it all started. the sidewalk in front of my house. The sidewalk where there were no clicks, no rules, no limitations on progression and creativity. With Side Walk Distribution our focus is on progression and professional skateboarding."
Sidewalk Skateboard Distribution is set to launch in the coming months, and skateboarders and skate shops eagerly anticipate what Barletta and Weiss have in store. With their passion for skateboarding and years of experience, it's sure to be an exciting new addition to the industry.
