Rodriguez shared the news himself, explaining that he ruptured his patellar tendon and is scheduled to go under the knife within the next couple of days.

The injury puts a hard pause on something he has been working toward for a long time. According to him, the Road to Pro effort was happening mostly out of sight, with very few people knowing how serious he was about it.

Now, with his knee blown out, he does not see a clear path forward.

The project never fully came together due to constant setbacks and changes in circumstances.

This time felt different to him. He was actively filming and skating with intention, trying to keep things low key until it made sense to speak on it publicly.

The injury changed that overnight.

In his post, Rodriguez was blunt and pretty relaxed about the situation, even with how heavy the news is.

Alongside confirming the upcoming surgery, he admitted that he recently canceled his health insurance, calling the timing wild and laughing it off.

It is the kind of honesty people have come to expect from him, mixing bad luck with humor instead of pretending everything is fine.

The injury does more than just stop filming.

Rodriguez said he does not think becoming a professional skateboarder is going to happen anymore.

That does not sound dramatic or attention seeking. It sounds like someone being realistic about what his body is dealing with right now.

For the moment, he is settling into recovery mode and joking about how he will be spending his time.

He mentioned that he plans to be playing Arc Raiders every day and told people to hit him up, keeping things light even while facing surgery and a long rehab.

Rodriguez Posted:

"Patellar Tendon rupture. Going to be getting surgery within the next couple days. I have been working on Road to Pro on the down low but now I don’t think it’s going to happen. Also just recently canceled my health insurance so thats crazy timing lol! Gonna be playing arc raiders everyday hmu"
