Top-seeded skateboarder Rob Pace was joined by his friends and families with Slam skateboarding magazine to celebrate his victory as the new Australian Skater of The Year.

Slam skateboarding mag posted. "It’s official, Rob Pace is our new SOTY. Rob stepped up to the most ridiculous kinkers, Hubbas, ditches, and rail hops – dropping four incredible parts over the past year."

They added. "Thanks to everyone who cast their votes in the 2022 Slam Skater of the Year awards, presented by Converse ANZ. New Gen of the Year, Video Part of the Year and our Hall of Fame inductee will be announced next week. Congrats, Rob!"

The surprise dives into a spot where Slam's sponsor Converse ANZ put forth a champagne shower for their 2022 AU SOTY.

Pace dominated the skate scene in Australia as he spent time training and skating various skate spots around his hometown, trying to showcase his skills and enjoy the journey.

Skating with his teammates and being around them was a good thing for Pace as it encouraged him to be more productive than ever.

Congratulations to Pace for receiving the AU Skater of The Year title of 2022.
