Baker Skateboards’ pro skater Riley Hawk is locked in with adidas Skateboarding.
After parting ways with Lakai Footwear, Hawk was a free agent for a couple of years because the brand was bought by new owners.
After Lakai got sold, things changed fast.
New ownership came in and the roster got cut. Lakai boss Luis Mora handled the rebuild and a lot of the OGs were no longer included.
Riley was one of them.
For a couple of years, Hawk stayed without a shoe sponsor, but he just kept skating, filming, and staying active while the rest of the industry did what it does.
That kind of patience is rare, especially at his level, but Riley has always moved different.
Now he lands at adidas Skateboarding. From Baker clips to global brand meetings, the switch says a lot without Riley needing to say much at all.
He brings real street credibility, years of footage, and a name that carries weight. adidas gets someone who has been around, seen it all, and never had to change up his style to fit in.
Riley announced it himself with a short message that says everything you need to know.
“This one means a lot to me. Couldn’t be happier to be a part of @adidasskateboarding!”
