Congratulations to our Red Bull DIY 2020 Top 5 teams and to the other skate teams that participated in the contest. You guys have whittled massive obstacles using your creativity and your own hands. Thanks to Red Bull for helping the skaters in the Philippines get the chance to hone their skills, innovate new spots, and making comradeship possible even if there's a pandemic.
In 5th to 1st place rankings, here are the top 5 Red Bull DIY skate teams.
5th place: Kidaskate Crew and Turf Boys
Why Jamie Foy picked them: He loved the obstacle and it's one of his favorites due to a cross and down rail, it looked a little narrow on the top to skate and the crew made it work which Kidaskate crew and Turf boys looked like they were having a blast on their DIY obstacle. He also mentioned that the crew did a great job and the obstacles look fun to skate.
4th place: Strap
Why Jamie Foy picked them: He thinks that the video is crazy good and the tricks are sick because the bump to rail was really short and it was cool how the team could take it apart and instead of everyone having to skate one obstacle, they could break it apart and make different things for everyone to skate. He also thinks that the spot is diverse and they can have a lot of fun using the obstacles they made.
3rd place: Quilla Gang
Why Jamie Foy picked them: According to him, they have a really good A-frame, and they had a good pyramid-like one you could make. It's super fun, and versatile which they also had a ledge at the side, and the way Quilla gang built it looks super sturdy and it will last awhile that makes a good DIY so they can take it anywhere they'd like. The crew even had a car with them. Jamie is super hyped that they did the Red Bull DIY.
2nd place: Taga Baler Skateboarding Community
Why Jamie Foy picked them: The skate clip is sick because they took like a classic skate rock type of spot. He loved the bump to bars. He like that it was diverse and the Taga Baler SC made it their DIY spot and took it to a bunch of different places. It wasn't just like they kept it into one place. But they broke it down and took it to the streets and they were having fun with their DIY spot at a skate spot.
1st place: Regfy Skateshop
Why Jamie Foy picked them: As per Jamie, he liked the video because the team made it super diverse which the obstacles are all in one piece. He also thinks that it's really cool that they could mix up with one section and make it into a wallie into the bank or they can skate it as a bump to rail. Putting all the obstacles in one area was really unique. Regfy skate shop made the best spot and he wishes that he could go and skate their Red Bull DIY obstacle.
