Primitive skateboarding co-founder Paul Martin Rodriguez Jr. also known by his nickname P-Rod, explains the process of making the "What the P-Rod?" dunk that represents his entire career in one shoe.
The four-time X Games gold medalist reflects on the passages of time in his skateboarding career.
From the 16 year gap between filming gnarly enders on his video parts, the rarity of rail tricks, and an unexpected wave of force that he hasn't felt in years.
The 36-year-old professional skateboarder has been posting a lot of his tricks on social media but realized that his bag of skate tricks is needed in the video.
He said: "I just told myself, you know Paul just go out and skate and get what you get and just have a little discipline and don't immediately just throw it up on Instagram."
P-Rod's mentality before is if the tricks are not about making him go back and forth and having a hard time landing it then he will just post it for everyone to see. "I just put a lot of pressure on myself to like, I want to be really good and I want the footage I put out to be really good." He said.
