OnlyFans CEO Kelly Blair has recently spoken up about the nature of the content available on the popular subscription-based platform.
Blair clarified that OnlyFans is not a "porn" website and defended the diverse range of creators on the platform, including skateboarders and other content creators.
By addressing these misconceptions, Blair hopes to promote a more accurate understanding of what OF represents.
As we previously reported, OnlyFans skater Shaun Rodriguez revealed that an OF model generates more revenue than becoming a YouTube skater.
Despite all the backlash from OnlyFans being a porn site, other creators and OF skaters are just normal online personalities, just like the rest of the other competitor platforms.
In an interview with the Financial Times, the OF CEO dismissed the notion that their business model is exclusively for sexual content.
“No: we’re a site that hosts adult content, but we also host a variety of other content. And a lot of the people who create adult content also choose to create other content, so maybe yoga and naked yoga,” she told the outlet.
She added. “We don’t want to categorize people, so we don’t. That’s why we don’t categorize our content either. Creators are able to create whatever content they choose to, as long as it’s within our terms of service,” Blair added.
After the success of OnlyFans in 2016, the company has dished out more than $8 billion to its creators, making Rodriguez one of the highest-paid non-professional skateboarders.
In our previous article, Rodriguez mentioned that the OF model she helped was only receiving $400 a month, but after he helped her with the content, she garnered $85,000 for only a month with less work.
