It's with great sadness that we report that the iconic Helevete record store in Oslo, Norway, which is now operating as Neseblod Records, has been damaged by a recent fire. Investigators have revealed that the blaze started in the basement, causing extensive damage to the store and destroying valuable items.
The location has a special significance for black metal fans worldwide as it was owned by Euronymous, the founder of Mayhem, during the genre's early days. Despite being shut down by the police in 1993 due to controversies surrounding the Black Metal Inner Circle, the store was reopened under its new name. Many people consider it a museum in memory of the early days of black metal.
We now have an opportunity to rally together and support the recovery of this beloved store. A GoFundMe page has been set up, and we are urging all black metal fans to join us in this cause. Let's help Darren, the organizer of this fundraiser, reach his goal and restore Neseblod Records to its former glory.
