Retired professional skateboarder turned Thousand Oaks City Council member Mikey Taylor admitted that he likes China's internet technology TikTok as he also uses it for his business, financial advice and influencing the youth.
As we previously reported, congress is concerned that TikTok, owned by China's ByteDance, poses a risk to user data.
However, Taylor still thinks that the app is still a good thing for all consumers.
The 42-year-old first had to include former President Donald Trump in his video to hook the audience and engage.
After he got all the attention of the skaters, he then proceed on explaining that the Chinese company ByteDance is focused on providing consumers with more options and excellent service across all platforms. He emphasized that ByteDance is not politically oriented towards the left or the right.
Taylor, who has 730.01k followers and 9.3M likes on Tiktok, explains how the app could help tech giants compete with each other, despite the risk of endangering sensitive user data.
Given the increasing options and rigorous service that social media corporations offer, Taylor supports the idea of retaining TikTok in the United States.
Trump for TikTok? 🤯🤯
I didn’t see this one coming… House is getting ready to vote on legislation forcing China’s ByteDance to divest from TikTok.
President Biden says he’s ready to sign the bill banning it if House passes it.
Trump says it will effectively double Meta overnight.
What do you guys think? Ban TikTok or keep it competitive?
