Professional Skateboarding League season 1 has officially wrapped up, and Mike Mo is taking a moment to reflect on what turned out to be a really special first run.
He shared how grateful he is to the skaters who trusted the team with something completely new and made the whole experience so smooth.
After week one, Mike remembers getting calls from pros saying they actually had fun and were excited for the upcoming weeks.
That was the most important part for him. If the skaters are having fun, then the season is already a success.
PSL mixed in a lot of sports references, which might seem unusual for skateboarding, but once you look at the core of what’s happening, it’s just a game of skate among friends, with a little friendly competition added in. That’s the heart of PSL, and that’s what made the season click.
Mike also took time to recognize the team working behind the scenes. From the broadcast crew to the events team and partners at Red Bull, a lot of dedication and long hours went into making every episode run smoothly.
Throughout the season, feedback from viewers mattered a lot. Mike Mo and the team paid attention to what people thought, adjusted as they went, and kept trying to improve.
The skaters and fans were part of shaping the experience, and that open conversation helped PSL evolve week by week. And yes, memes were very much encouraged.
Looking back, Mike Mo admitted that PSL season 1 was the most challenging project he’s worked on, but it was also one of the most rewarding.
He’s proud of what the team built and already looking forward to what’s next. For anyone with ideas or suggestions, he encouraged sharing them anytime because the team is always listening. Now, it’s back to work, but with plenty of momentum and excitement for the future.
