According to Metal Injection's report, the Persian death metal band ARSAMES were arrested and sentenced to 15 years in jail for playing satanic music. The government of Iran has been crusading against heavy metal music in their country censoring bands for playing their genre.

"No one can stop IMMORTAL IDENTITY! 15 NOT FAIR" The band's official Instagram post last July 21, 2020.

Despite the fact that metal music is a form of expression or freedom of speech, heavy metal music is banned and forbidden in Iran and can put your life in danger as stated by Huck Magazine.

"An underground heavy metal band vocalist Meraj was charged with Satanism and originally sentenced to 180 lashes and a fine of $4,000 before he had it released to 100 and $300 on appeal. In the six months between that sentence and his flogging in Mashhad, he had spent some time in the local jail until a relative of one of his students stumped up the cash for his bail."

The members of the band have paid bail and safe as they are still waiting for the start of their trail. If you want to support the band kindly buy on their Bandcamp page as there is no crowdfunding as of the moment. We are hoping that they will be free soon and can still play the music that they are passionate about.
