As we previously reported, Zero Skateboards pro Kanaan Dern made ShreddER top stories after landing a massive 230 foot round bar grind, which measured 70.1 meters.

The clip quickly spread across the skateboarding world, with skaters calling it one of the wildest NBDs in recent memory.

About a month later, Red Bull pro skateboarder Maxim Habanec has officially gone even farther.

Habanec completed an incredible 78 meter grind, which works out to around 255.9 feet, or roughly 256 feet.

That puts him almost 26 feet beyond Dern's previous world record.

Red Bull confirmed the achievement on social media, writing:

"NEW WORLD RECORD 🛹

@maximhabanec just completed the world's longest grind, coming in at 78m 🤯

The difference between the two records may only be around eight meters, but on a skateboard, that is a huge jump.

Staying balanced and locked into a grind for nearly 256 feet requires incredible speed, precision, and commitment.

It is also interesting how quickly the record changed hands. Dern's 230 foot grind had barely settled in as the new number to beat before Habanec raised it again.

With social media making these record attempts reach millions of viewers almost instantly, it will be interesting to see if another skater decides to chase the record in the coming months.

After Habanec's achievement, the bar is now set at 78 meters.
