The Skateboarding Social has finally unveiled the winner of the first-ever women's "Asia Skater of The Year 2020" category for the Asia Skate Awards. The Cebuana skate ripper Margielyn Didal has done it again after winning the "Fastest Feet in Asia" and "Style For Miles" in ASA. This time she received the Asia Skater of The Year award of 2020 even though there are a lot of gnarly skateboarders that are dedicated to what we all love which is skateboarding.
According to the Instagram post of The Skateboarding Social, "Out of 60 ladies from 20+ countries across the continent, the search for the first ever Women's Asia Skater Of The Year was definitely a blast!" The post said. "The amount of talent, videos and tricks the fans have discovered along the way were simply priceless. We'd like to dig even deeper but unfortunately it's time to wrap things up at the Asia Skate Awards 2020!"
The post added. "At this point in time we need not expound on what it takes to win the most coveted award a skateboarder can get and after much deliberation from our legendary judges panel, we'd like like to congratulate the 21-year old skate-phenom from Cebu, Philippines, MARGIELYN DIDALI!!!"
With the talent that Didal has, it's impossible that she will never win the three awards from ASA. This is the first time that someone from the Philippines won three consecutive accolades in the history of skateboarding. Back in the old days, it's only a 1st world country thing where skateboarding exists and real skaters are the only ones representing it. Through the years it was difficult for normal people to accept skating but now it's becoming and slowly being accepted these days with the help of skater-owned companies. Congratulations to Margie Didal for winning the Asia Skater of The Year 2020.
