Manny Santiago has officially parted ways with Ryan Sheckler’s Sandlot Times after a year and eight months.

The news surfaced in a casual yet telling moment during a vlog with Switch God Paul Rodriguez, where Santiago discussed his current skateboard setup.

While showing his board, he mentioned using Torey Pudwill’s Grizzly griptape before revealing his blank deck.

Without much hesitation, he stated, “I used to skate for Sandlot Times. I don’t anymore, so I just got a blank 7.75.” The simple remark was enough to confirm that his time with the brand had come to an end.

Sandlot Times, launched by Sheckler in 2021, brought together a solid team of skaters, including Santiago, who joined in 2023.

His addition was seen as a natural fit given his long-standing friendship with Sheckler and his ability to adapt to different skate crews over the years.

However, as of now, it’s clear that the collaboration has run its course.

There’s no official statement from either party regarding the split, but Santiago’s decision to move on seems to reflect a need for a fresh approach.

Whether he’s looking to join another board company or simply skating what feels right for him at the moment remains to be seen.

Santiago has built his career on a strong personal brand, always maintaining an independent spirit.

From his early days competing in the biggest contests to producing his own content, he has never been one to stay in one place for too long.

His departure from Sandlot Times could mark the beginning of another shift in his approach to skateboarding and sponsorships.

For now, he’s keeping it simple. Rolling on a blank deck and enjoying the ride. Whether this leads to a new sponsorship or a different direction altogether, Santiago’s next move will no doubt be one to watch.
