Brazilian LGBTQIA+ professional skateboarder Luiza Marchiori has landed a well-deserved spot in RESPEITO, the latest book from Cold Skateboard.

The project highlights a mix of influential skaters, and Marchiori’s inclusion adds to the book’s diverse representation of skateboarding talent.

Sharing a double-page spread with The Best Daggers, Marchiori took to social media to express her excitement:

"RESPEITO! feliz demais com essa página dupla no novo livro da @instacold junto com o @thebestdaggers é uma honra fazer parte desse projeto, obrigada @hevertonribeiros e JM pela oportunidade 🖤 #cold #respeito #skateboard #skatergirl #transgirl"

The book has already gained attention from the skateboarding community, with pro skater Tiago Lemos showing support for the release.

Cold Skateboard has been known for its creative projects, and RESPEITO continues that tradition by spotlighting skaters who bring something unique to the table.

Marchiori’s feature reflects not just her skills on a skateboard but also the growing recognition of diverse voices in skateboarding.

As one of the few openly transgender pro skaters, her presence in RESPEITO speaks to the importance of visibility in the scene.

With skateboarding always evolving, projects like this help document the style, culture, and individuality that make it what it is.
