Brazilian-American professional street skateboarder Leticia Buffoni has received world record certificates from the global authority on record-breaking achievements and the extremes of the natural world Guinness World Records.
The 29-year-old girl skater isn't just breaking down barriers in women's skateboarding but also breaking records.
Guinness World Records posted. "Congratulations to Brazilian skateboarding champion Leticia Bufoni who has just been presented with her record certificates for, Most Skateboard Street gold medals won at the X Games (female) - 5, Most medals won in X Games summer disciplines (female) - 12."
"I started skateboarding when I was 9 years old; I was skating with all the guys in my neighborhood, and I fell in love with it immediately,” Buffoni said.
She added. "This is even bigger than my dreams. Setting a world record means so much and I’m so grateful for the recognition on what I’ve achieved in skateboarding."
With Buffoni's skating style and ambitious attitude, she hopes to continue inspiring girls and women everywhere to believe in themselves and not let gender stereotypes stand in their way.
