President Donald Trump's master DOGE Elon Musk has been facing backlash for a bunch of things lately, especially from skateboarding legend Kareem Campbell, but this time it’s not politics or tweets.

It’s because pro skater Leo Romero just treated the Tesla Cybertruck like it was part of a backyard skatepark. And yeah, it got scratched up in the process.
The Cybertruck’s been in the news for everything but skateboarding.
It’s been clowned for its look, hyped by tech nerds, and even vandalized by protestors. This time, though, it’s getting wrecked for a different reason and nobody’s mad about it.
Romero hit it with a clean backside 5-0 grind on the edge of the truck, then followed it up with a kickflip backside 50-50 grind that basically stamped his name on the thing.
This wasn’t some glossy campaign. The kind of thing that would’ve shown up in a skate video from the early 2000s and instantly gone down as legendary. Just a skater treating a $60,000 status symbol like a curb at a gas station.
Let’s be honest, if there’s anything skateboarding’s good at, it’s flipping the middle finger to what people think is off-limits.
And Romero? He’s been about that life from day one. Whether it’s handrails, hubbas, or now electric tanks disguised as trucks, he’s always down to grind whatever's in front of him.
No polish. No permission. Just skate and destroy, literally.
Some folks online are wondering how Musk feels about it, especially since he’s been under fire lately for a bunch of unrelated chaos.
And who knows? Maybe he thinks it’s cool. Or maybe he’s fuming. Either way, Romero made the Cybertruck look better than it ever has.
Tim Pool and the crew over at The Boonies might have something to say, but if they’re true skate heads, they’ll get it.
Even better? The skate community is backing Romero and David Reyes up.
So yeah, Leo Romero skated and wrecked a Cybertruck. And it ruled.
