KCDC Skate Shop has officially closed its doors, bringing an end to an iconic era for this well-loved NYC skate spot.
Deathwish Skateboards co-founder Erik Ellington shared the sad news:
"The physical doors of @kcdcskateshop closed this past weekend but the impact it had on New York and the skate community will never be forgotten. Thank you @amyguntherellington for your love and special power of bringing of people together and making them feel welcome…You continue to inspire me everyday. Skate shops are a tough business, but you and the team powered through for 24 years with unwavering grace and compassion, this is what will be remembered. Big love to the gang at the shop, you all have become family, and I’m grateful for your friendships. I’m looking forward to the next chapter wherever it goes.
KCDC FOREVER 💘"
Huge shoutout and big love to everyone at the shop. As we look forward to whatever comes next, let’s celebrate the amazing ride they have had together. Here’s to the next chapter. Cheers!
