Professional skateboarder Josh Kalis is known for his smooth style and technical prowess.
He has recently teamed up with his board sponsor DGK and shared a behind-the-scenes look at the construction of his great all-granite indoor plaza in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
He revealed the step-by-step process he used to build the epic skateboarding paradise he now calls home.
According to Kalis, the project began with a simple idea: to create a skatepark that would allow him and his friends to skate year-round, regardless of the weather or time of day. But as the idea took shape, it quickly became apparent that this would be no ordinary skatepark.
To achieve this, Kalis and his team worked closely with all the homies and other experts to ensure that every detail of the granite surfaces was perfect.
They carefully selected each piece of stone and used advanced techniques to shape and polish the characters to a mirror-like finish.
