As we previously reported, skateboarding legend Danny Way is cooking up some new tracks with skater rapper Dashawn Jordan in the studio to make all skate rap fans stoked on their new project.
Hence, professional skateboarder Jordan Maxham opposed skate rap and didn't hold back when criticizing skaters who rap about skateboarding.
"Just please stop rapping about skateboarding. Rap about literally anything else," Maxham said. "Unless you're a talented/clever enough writer to come up with a line about skating that will only be understood by skaters, rapping about skating sounds insanely cringe."
"I wish it didn't," he added. "Any other sport sounds dope to rap about, but as soon as you start with the skate raps, you've lost me."
Despite his clear disapproval of skate-themed rap lyrics, Maxham is no stranger to the music scene.
With his upcoming debut album "Our Town" almost ready to be released on all streaming platforms, Neverendingspliff aims to ensure that his rap game is not just about the skate world. He promised fans that "This one's gonna be special," guaranteeing an exciting release.
