Some spots just sit there for decades, daring skaters to step up. This one in Hawaii? It’s been waiting 40 years.
Now, Jenkem and Mob Grip are putting a bounty on it for $1,000 to the first person who rolls away clean.
Ian Michna threw it out there with a post that’s equal parts call to action and reality check. “Who got it? @shittykids_ has been waiting to see someone try it for 40 years. So we’re supporting the dream and throwing up $1000 w/ @mobgrip for the first person who does it. Yeah, it’s in Hawaii, but even if you don’t make it…. you’re in Hawaii. WIN/WIN! The fame, glory and cheap beer is for the taking ✅”
The spot itself is brutal. A hubba that’s been chopped in the middle, leaving a gap that basically dares you to commit.
Not some crusty run-up, not a weird roll-away. This thing is just missing a section, forcing anyone who steps up to throw down something ridiculous, maybe a good drop-in to ollie gap or an insane 50-50 to gap 50-50 out.
No safety net, no easy out. You either have the trick or you don’t. And while the cash is a nice bonus, let’s be real. The real prize is getting your clip locked in the history books.
Will some local step up and claim it first? Will an out-of-towner make the flight, bag the trick, and sip a celebratory beer on the beach? Only one way to find out. Hawaii’s calling. Someone get the clip.
