Let’s face it: Skateboarding is not only for guys. Ladies have been in the game for years before Elisa Steamer skated and they are doing it for the love, heart and soul.
In this modern age, girls are ripping the streets and bolstering their skills and abilities just like us men. These skater girls are doing whatever it takes to improve themselves on what they are passionate about.
According to Cindy Whitehead who is a former professional skater in the 70’s on her TED Talk that “GIRL” is not just a 4 letter word, “girls should do what they love and not what society feels is socially acceptable for them” and she also mentioned that “You girls really have the power to change the world any way you want.” Believe it or not these women are killing it right now.
1. Kiddo Trinidad
Despite being excluded in the 2019 Sea Games, she still did not let that get through her head and it made her even stronger than before. Kiddo undoubtedly stole the spotlight last year even though the speculations continued to abound in the Southeast Asian Games - She is still skating hard in the streets and still progressing with the help of her sponsors.
2. Cindy Lou Serna
She may not be our gold medalist but she is definitely one of the greatest Bacolodian skaters who is ripping and representing our country today. Cindy has been winning skate contests and will still keep competing - her tremendous backside feeble grind and frontside 50-50 kickflip out is the icing on the cake.
