As we previously reported, Blood Wizard pro skater Kyle Walsh had recently put his name at the top of the longest grind rankings with a massive 300 foot grind, which also earned him a Guinness World Record.

His run surpassed Zero pro skater Kanaan Dern’s previous 256 foot grind, along with Red Bull's Maxim Habanec’s 255.9 foot grind.
Now, YouTube skater Garrett Ginner has gone even further.
Ginner decided he was going after the distance himself, building a gnarly rail that would give him enough room to chase down Walsh’s 300 foot run.
After getting everything set up, he spent nine days working toward the goal.

On his successful attempt, Ginner managed to grind the entire 320 foot rail, or 97.5 meters, taking the longest grind record away from Walsh and going past Dern’s previous distance as well.
The attempt is even more fun to watch because Ginner’s mom was behind the camera throughout the process.
After he finally landed the full 320 foot grind, she was there to celebrate with him, making the moment feel like a family achievement as much as a skateboarding one.
The YouTuber later shared the news online, thanking his mom for being his biggest supporter and filmer during the attempt.

From Walsh’s 300 foot grind to Ginner’s new 320 foot distance, the longest grind battle has quickly become one of the most entertaining records to follow.
Ginner also noted that since he still has enough rail, he is going to invite his homies for a gentleman's game of who can have the longest grind.
