Jerry Hsu on Enjoi: “When I Was There, it Always Seemed Like We Were Fighting The People Who Owned Us”
The company made headlines for parting ways with Bill Weiss, a longtime employee who had provided value to the organization for 20 years. Additionally, Dwindle Distribution let go of Enjoi skateboards, a brand that had been with the company for years.
Weiss, who had been with Dwindle Distribution for two decades, was reportedly let go from the company and took Madness skateboards from him, leaving many in the skateboarding community surprised and curious about the reasons behind the departure.
Weiss had been a critical figure in the company's operations, and his departure raised questions about the future direction of Dwindle Distribution.
Enjoi, known for its unique graphics and playful approach to skateboarding, had gained a loyal following within the skateboarding community. The decision to separate from Enjoi left many fans and riders speculating about the brand's future and its impact on the skateboard industry.
A recent social media post from Jenkem's head honcho Ian Michna, states that Dwindle owed many people money, including his skate magazine. As a part of the resolution, Dwindle distributed over 450+ blank skateboard decks to compensate for the money owed.
Michna asked his followers what to do with the blank decks and jokingly said he knew some people were on the same boat and could form like the anime Voltron and do a one-off drop together as a side hustle.
